The Rocky Hill Planning and Zoning Commission will seek legal advice from the town attorney regarding a two-year moratorium on multi-family housing development projects that is on the table.
Director of planning and building Kim Ricci read letters into the record from residents who supported the moratorium, the Hartford Courant reports. Other residents questioned whether it would be wise to impose the moratorium.
The commission’s consultant, Planimetrics of Farmington Valley said that apartments and condominiums comprise 39 percent of Rocky Hill housing stock, which is higher than the state average and higher than neighboring communities.
