A Rocky Hill teen won the annual Riverfest X-treme Scramble Series race in Hartford on Thursday. <a href="http://www.courant.com/community/hartford/hc-bieber-fireworks-hartford-0719-20130718,0,1223167.story" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Hartford Courant reported</a> that 16-year-old Gregson Curtin, a junior at Xavier High School in Middletown, crossed the finish line in under 11.5 minutes. The race, while billed initially as a 5K, or 3.1 miles, was shortened to 2 miles because of the intense heat that has been blanketing Connecticut this week, The Courant reported.
