Serious Crash Closes I-91 in Rocky Hill

A tractor-trailer and car collided late Friday night, police said.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A section of Interstate-91 south was closed for some time on Friday night into Saturday morning after a tractor-trailer and car collided and left two with life-threatening injuries, state police said.

The crash took place at about 10:30 p.m. near Exit 24, state police said. The Hartford Courant reported two occupants of the car had died.

Rocky Hill police said they were on the Silas Deane Highway because traffic was being diverted off the highway onto onto the road.
