'Serious Injury Accident' Closes I-91 North In Rocky Hill

The highway is closed between the exit 22 off-ramp and the Route 9 North entrance ramp as state police investigate a two-car crash.

ROCKY HILL, CT — I-91 Northbound is currently closed in Rocky Hill as troopers investigate a serious accident, Connecticut State Police tweeted.

As of around 4 p.m. Thursday, the highway is closed completely between the exit 22 off-ramp and the Route 9 North entrance ramp, police said. Travelers should seek an alternate route.

The crash involved two cars, and police described it as a "serious injury accident."

At around 3:15 p.m., police closed all lanes except the farthest left to investigate the accident. That lane is now closed, as well.
