Smash-And-Grab Burglary Reported At Rocky Hill Jewelry Store: Police

Police are investigating after thieves broke a window in a burglary of a jewelry store in Rocky Hill.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A Rocky Hill jewelry store was hit by smash-and-grab burglars early Wednesday morning, according to police.

A 911 caller reported an active burglary at 2:58 a.m. at Golden Opportunity Jewelers located at 781 Cromwell Ave. The address is listed in the Shunpike Village Shopping Center.

Police officers arrived shortly after and found the suspect's vehicle fleeing from the plaza. Police were not authorized to pursue the vehicle.

An initial investigation found that the front window of the business was broken and the store was burglarized. The amount lost in the burglary is not known.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
