According to the accident report released by state police Tuesday, Aquino-Almonte was driving a 2009 Acura Mdx Tech on I-91 north near Exit 24 in Rocky Hill at about 5:22 a.m. Sunday morning.

While the suspect was driving in the left lane of four, a tractor trailer being driven by 57-year-old Bridgeport man was traveling on I-91 north in a center lane.

Police said Aquino-Almonte's vehicle "made a sudden lane change and decelerated."

As a result, the driver of the tractor trailer was unable to stop and collided with the rear of the suspect's Acura.

The collision, police said, caused the Acura to spin out and slam into a wire rope barrier and the tractor trailer to roll over onto its side.

No injuries were reported, but the accident closed that section of I-91 for several hours for crews to clean up the scene and for police to investigate.

Early reports indicated one person was hurt amid the crash, but the accident report released Tuesday indicated the absence of any injuries associated with the accident.
