Suspect Drives Police Batty at Rocky Hill Residential Alarm Call

The perpetrator was located after setting off the alarm.

ROCKY HILL, CT — Rocky Hill police captured what they described as an "unlikely" suspect after responding to a residential home burglary alarm call on Friday.

It was a bat, police said.

Not Batman, just a plain old bat. OK, maybe it was a young bat — police did not supply an age in an incident report.

The bat activated the alarm, police said.

"The suspect was detained and released a short time later. No charges were filed," Rocky Hill police quipped in a Facebook post.
