Tickets For CT Lottery Game Temporarily 'Stopped' Thursday
Tickets were 'temporarily stopped' for a new edition of a CT Lottery game on Thursday.
ROCKY HILL, CT — The Connecticut Lottery "temporarily stopped" the cashing and sale of the $5 scratch tickets for the 12th Edition of the "5X The Money" game on Thursday.
The 12th edition had its debut Thursday, but an issue with the ticket vendor's technology caused winning tickets to scan in the validation system as a non-winning ticket, CT Lottery officials said.
The vendor has since resolved the issue, officials said.

Upon discovering the problem, which affected a "small number" of ticket packs, the CT Lottery "promptly instructed" its retailers to remove the tickets from their dispensers and lottery vending machines, officials said.
The CT Lottery worked with its vendor to correct the problem quickly, and the sale of the tickets has "recommenced," late Thursday afternoon, CT Lottery officials said.
