Travelers Championship: McIlroy Reaches Out to Fan Who Had Stroke

The PGA Tour star spent a few moments with a fan who was just glad to be at the Travelers.

CROMWELL, CT — PGA Tour star Rory McIlroy was able to spend a few warm moments with a big fan who has been struggling with health issues on Thursday at the Travelers Championship.

"Yesterday I met this special lady, Noreen Murnane who sadly 6 years ago suffered a stroke. I was honoured to make her wish come true!," he wrote on social media.

He posted a video on Twitter:

McIlroy met Murname as he was walking out of the clubhouse and spend a few minutes with her.

McIlroy, ranked No. 3 in the world, started on the 10th tee at 7:50 a.m., and had four birdies and a bogey in carding a 67.
