Winner Claims Connecticut's First-Ever $3M Mega Millions Prize
Someone has claimed the first-ever $3 million ticket sold in the Connecticut Lottery's segment of the Mega Millions game.

ROCKY HILL, CT — A Torrington resident has claimed the first-ever $3 million ticket sold in the Connecticut Lottery's segment of the Mega Millions game.
Mary Clancey, of Torrington, claimed the ticket on June 1, CT Lottery officials said.
The ticket was purchased at The Cork Fine Wine & Spirits, located at on 1597 E Main Street in Torrington, lottery officials said.

The winning numbers drawn on May 11 were: 14-38-40-53-70. The Mega Ball number was 22 and the Megaplier number was 3.
Clancey matched five numbers, CT Lottery officials said.

She also added the Megaplier for an extra $1 and the $1 million prize was thus multiplied to $3 million, according to lottery officials.
