1 Injured, 3 Displaced By Shelton House Fire: FD
Fire officials said crews found heavy flames in the back of the building when they arrived at the home in Shelton.
SHELTON, CT — One person was injured and three people were displaced by a house fire reported Friday evening on Liberty Street, according to the Shelton Fire Department.
In a news release posted to Facebook, fire officials said crews were called to the house around 8:30 p.m., where they found heavy flames in the back of the building.
According to fire officials, firefighters deployed two attack suppression hoses to the fire in back of the home while additional crews extinguished flames that had extended from outside the home into the building's second floor and attic.

One person received minor burns and was evaluated by emergency medical service crews, according to fire officials.
Three people were displaced as a result of the house fire, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist with temporary housing, fire officials said.

The Shelton Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the blaze, according to fire officials.
