DERBY, CT — Construction on a 105-unit apartment complex in Derby is slated to begin in the spring, following approval this month by the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Connecticut Post reported.

Called Trolley Pointe, the complex will rest at the former Lifetouch school property at 90 Main St. in Derby, and it is expected to cost developer Joe Salemme in excess of $15 million to build.

It could take about a year and a half to build, and all the units will be market rate rentals. Four of the units will be two-bedrooms; 39 units will be one-bedrooms; and 62 units will be studios.
