2 Derby Stores Sell Winning CT Scratch-Off Lottery Tickets

In both cases, the lucky winners were Ansonia residents, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

DERBY, CT — Two Ansonia residents recently claimed winning lottery scratch-off tickets they bought at stores in Derby, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Monday, Jonathan Sierra claimed a $30,000 prize after he turned in a winning "30X Cash 9th Edition" ticket he purchased at the Exxon Mart on New Haven Avenue.

Also on the same day, Victorio Pinero claimed a $10,000 prize after turning in a winning "20X Cash 7th Edition" ticket that was purchased at the Derby Avenue store also on New Haven Avenue.

The 30X game costs $30 per ticket and began in January. More than 1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds are 1 in 3.53.

The 20X game costs $20 per ticket, and it began in August 2021. More than 2.1 million tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.08.
