Police are investigating after two people were found dead on Saturday.

SHELTON, CT — The two people found dead inside a home on Sorghum Road in Shelton Saturday afternoon have been identified as a mother and son, according to NBC Connecticut.

The deceased are: Gale P. Lupe, 79, and Michael J. Kramer, 59, according to NBC CT.

No other details were released. Police continue to investigate.

Police stress that there is "no known threat to the public."

Police were called to the home to conduct a welfare check and that is when they found two people dead inside, NBC Connecticut reports.
