2-Hour Delayed Opening Announced For Shelton Public Schools

SHELTON, CT — Shelton Public Schools will have a two-hour delay Wednesday morning due to icy conditions following Tuesday's snowstorm.

According to the district website, district officials announced the opening "after consulting with city officials and the weather reports."

A general 1–3 inches of snow and ice fell across Connecticut on Tuesday and the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement as patchy ice is forecast to develop late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Snow also remains possible on Friday.
