$50K Lottery Winner Sold In Shelton

The winning ticket was sold at a business in Shelton, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

SHELTON, CT — A Stamford resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a lottery ticket in town this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The resident won $50,000 on a Powerball ticket that was sold at Wheels #174 in Shelton, according to lottery officials.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners' full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
