Adams IGA Hometown Market in Derby to Close

Derby, CT - The Adams IGA Hometown Market on New Haven Avenue in Derby will close in September, the second large merchant in the same shopping complex to leave.

The Walmart at that location had previously announced it was closing at the end of the month after 15 years at the site, reports the Connecticut Post.

Adams IGA employed about 60 people at that location, and some of those workers may get hired at the market's nearby stores in Shelton or Milford, officials told the Post.
