AirTag Left On Woman's Car While Shopping In Shelton: Report

A woman who found an Apple AirTag on her car's trunk after exiting a store in Shelton is concerned someone may have tried to track her.

SHELTON, CT — A woman recently noticed an Apple AirTag sitting on her trunk when she returned from shopping at a store in Shelton, News 8 reported. She noted the device could have slid into her trunk if she popped it open without noticing the AirTag.

According to News 8, the woman was concerned someone might have been trying to follow her home and reported the incident to police.

An AirTag is a device about the size of a quarter that can be attached to items like keys or backpacks, allowing the owner of the item to track it on their iPhone if they misplace it.
