SHELTON, CT — The Derby-Shelton Rotary Club invites community members, local professionals and anyone interested in giving back to attend a special "Discover Rotary" happy hour membership drive.
According to a news release provided by the rotary club, the event will take place May 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hunan Pan, located on Commerce Drive in Shelton.
The event is designed to provide guests an opportunity to learn more about rotary in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, according to the release.
For $15 per person, attendees can enjoy appetizers and one drink while meeting current rotary members and learning about the organization's mission, community projects and membership opportunities, the release notes.
According to the rotary club, guests will also have the opportunity to:

"This event is a great opportunity for anyone interested in networking, volunteering or simply learning more about rotary to come out and meet us."
According to the release, the rotary club is actively involved in numerous community initiatives and service projects throughout the area, supporting local families, youth programs, literacy efforts, veterans initiatives and international humanitarian causes.
