Portion Of Route 8 Closed In Derby Due To Crash: FD

DERBY, CT — A portion of Route 8 is closed Monday morning in Derby due to a crash, according to the Derby Fire Department.

In a Facebook post around 11 a.m., the department said their volunteers were responding to a crash on the northbound side of the highway.

Route 8 northbound is currently closed at Exit 12B, according to fire officials.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use caution while traveling nearby, fire officials said.
