Fire Breaks Out At Condominium Complex In Shelton: FD

SHELTON, CT — A fire broke out at a condominium complex in Shelton and extended to three of the units late Wednesday night, according to the Shelton Fire Department.

In a news release, fire officials said crews were called to a condo complex on Fox Run around 10:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a structure fire.

When crews arrived in the area, heavy fire was visible from the building, fire officials said.

The fire extended to all three of the condominiums on the strip and took several hours to extinguish, according to fire officials.

All occupants were able to self evacuate, fire officials said.

One firefighter was evaluated for dehydration, fire officials said.

The building was not habitable and the blaze is being investigated by the fire marshal's office, according to fire officials.

Nichols Fire Department crews provided assistance during the fire and the Derby Fire Department and Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company both provided station coverage, fire officials said.
