Transfer Station Reopens In Derby: City

The transfer station will operate with the following limitations until further notice, according to the city.

DERBY, CT — The Derby Transfer Station will reopen Wednesday after temporarily closing Monday and Tuesday due to storm damage, according to the city.

In an email, Town Clerk Marc Garofalo said the transfer station, located at 80 Pine Street, will operate with the following limitations until further notice:

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the Derby Public Works Department at 203-736-1468.

On Sunday, Garofalo said in an email the transfer station "received significant damage to the office trailer from a falling tree" that morning.

As a result, the transfer station was closed Monday and Tuesday due to storm damage, according to Garofalo.
