Kitten Rescued From Storm Drain In Shelton: Echo Hose FD

SHELTON, CT — Firefighters rescued a kitten from a storm drain in Shelton on Friday, according to the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Co. 1.

In a Facebook post, Echo Hose officials said the kitten was trapped in a storm drain on Lake Road.

"Thankfully, the little one was safely removed and is now out of harm's way," the department's post reads.

The department also noted they are hoping to reunite the kitten with her family and anyone with information is asked to contact Shelton Animal Control at (203) 924-2501.

In a separate Facebook post, animal control said the female cat is currently safe at the shelter and asked the owner to contact them.
