Ansonia Police Launch Probe of City's Tax Office: Report

ANSONIA, CT — Mayor David Cassetti has asked local police to look into possible irregularities in the Ansonia Tax Collectors office, reports NBC Connecticut News.

Details of the investigation, and the circumstances that led to Cassetti's request, have not been released.

Cassetti made the request on Tuesday, according to the news station. According to the New Haven Register, Ansonia's tax office has been investigated before, namely by state officials in 2012.
