Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes Helps Feed the Hungry and Homeless

Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes, a branch of Apple Rehab Inc., launches year-round donation drive for local food bank and homeless shelter.

Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes, which specializes in the delivery of sub-acute rehabilitation and long-term care services, recently implemented a year-round donation drive to benefit Spooner House, whose mission is to provide food, shelter and support services to people in need, and the Valley Food Bank at Spooner House.

“Food drives are frequently held in conjunction with holidays, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Sometimes, however, we fail to remember that food banks need donations all year long, especially following holidays,” said Paula Meunier, Administrator of Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes. “We want to support our community year-round to the best of our ability.”

Items can be donated at Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes, 5 Lake Road, Shelton, CT, starting April 24. In addition to non-perishable foods, they are also accepting paper goods/cleaning supplies and office supplies. For an item wish list, please visit http://www.actspooner.org/Wish_List.html.
