Ansonia, CT — The retail side of Banko's Music will close, but the music won't stop. Lessons will continue and supplies like reeds and strings will still be offered.
"We regret to announce that after 60+ years in business we will be closing the retail side of the business. Sales have just not been sufficient to cover expenses," the owners posted on Facebook.
"We are happy to announce that our lesson program will continue, and we even hope to expand it somewhat. We will also continue to stock supplies such as reeds and strings. In addition, we will continue to support local music education through the non-profit Banko's Music Foundation."
