BB Guns Leads To Arrest At Shelton High School

SHELTON, CT — A female Shelton High School student was arrested after she brought a BB gun to school, according to police

Destiny Ryan, 18, was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds and second-degree breach of peace after a loaded BB gun was found in her backpack, police said.

School officials were alerted that she had what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun in the girls bathroom.

Police were already at the school on an unrelated matter and asked Ryan if she was in possession of a gun. She said she was, police said. The gun closely resembled a 9mm handgun.
