SHELTON, CT — Fairfield-based tea maker RC Bigelow Inc., better known as Bigelow Tea, is buying 25 acres of land from the City of Shelton to build a new distribution warehouse, the company announced.

Known as the MAS property, the parcel being sold off Bridgeport Avenue is part of 70 acres the city owns and hopes to see developed commercially.

"We are blessed to be a growing family company," said President and CEO Cindi Bigelow in a statement. "We are also expanding our other two facilities in Louisville, Kentucky and in Boise, Idaho. We feel very fortunate to be in this position and take our commitment to our communities very seriously."
