BLIZZARD UPDATE: 20-30 Inches of Snow Expected, 50 MPH Winds
A Blizzard Warning is in effect for Shelton and surrounding towns in Fairfield County from Jan. 26, 1 PM until Jan. 28, 12 AM.

A Blizzard Warning is in effect from January 26, 1 PM until January 28, 12 AM, according to the National Weather Service.
The NWS stated a “crippling and potentially historic” blizzard is headed our way late Monday into Tuesday. Snow accumulations of 20-30 inches are expected with wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour. Visibility will be diminished during this time due to strong wind gusts. Temperatures will be in the teens to mid-20’s.
The heaviest snow and winds will hit from Monday night into Tuesday afternoon. Travel will be extremely dangerous and strong winds could knock out power.
