SHELTON, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on narcotics and speeding charges Monday after state police clocked him allegedly driving 96 miles per hour on Route 8 south (in a 55 mph zone) in Shelton and found over a hundred bags of heroin in his vehicle.
Joshua Smith, of Main Street, was pulled over near exit 12, and "was observed to be making quick motions with his hands as troopers approached the vehicle," according to state police.
He was in a rental car registered out of Florida, but he was not listed as the correct operator, said state police. Additionally, troopers saw that he had two cell phones with him.
