The VSF2U Professional Mobile Tour brings Shakespeare directly to schools, libraries, and community spaces through a high‑impact, contemporary staging of Julius Caesar—performed by a company of paid, professional actors.
This 70‑minute adaptation reimagines Shakespeare’s Roman tragedy as a fast‑moving modern political thriller. Presented in contemporary dress and designed for non‑traditional venues, the production strips away spectacle to focus on urgency, language, and power.
Includes a fully staged production with professional paid actors and designers, a detailed study guide, and a Q&A with the cast afterwards if time allows.
Each year, one of Valley Shakespeare Festival’s professionally acclaimed productions travels to schools, homeless shelters and community centers throughout the Lower Naugatuck Valley. These shows are family-friendly and require limited setup, making them ready to perform in nearly any space.
Performances in the past have been noted for their fresh takes on classics (Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Pericles, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona) that are performed intimately and invite the audience to participate.
