You can expect incredible live music,...

This all ages walking club meets at Derby Greenway along the Naugatuck River, at the entrance across the street from BJ's Wholesale Club.&nbsp;
As we walk along the path by the river, we'll share stories of exceptional people and events from the Valley throughout history as narrative stories.
This club meets at 9:00 sharp on Wednesdays throughout summer, regardless of the weather. Our librarian Brendan will lead the walks and share the stories, but all attendees are responsible for their own health and safety.

Enjoy snacks while watching movies or anime, playing console and PC games, making crafts, or joining a tabletop game. Teens can also earn volunteer hours by helping the Teen Librarian with take-and-make projects.
Movies, anime, and other visual media shown during Yap and Snack will be selected with a goal of staying within a PG–13 rating whenever possible. We encourage parents and guardians to be aware that some content may include themes suitable for teens ages 13 and up.

This is a tabletop game club for school-aged children that meets weekly in the summer. If the club is well-attended, we will extend it into the school year.
We'll play both classic and modern board games, including chess (beginner friendly), as well as card games and word games. Drop in and join the fun!

Join Brendan in the Children's Room for a musical storytelling experience like no other! We retell stories from popular books, movies, and history with accompanying visuals and live music. Kids who attend should be comfortable sitting and watching for about 30 minutes, although questions, comments, singing along, and dancing are certainly welcome!
This week's theme is Lilo and Stitch. Relive the fun and magic of the classic Disney film about a misunderstood girl who adopts a strange animal, leading them both to a better understanding of what it means to be a family.
