During the Shelton High School 2026 Awards Ceremonies for graduating seniors, the Shelton Art League awarded scholarships to two seniors who are pursing the arts at their chosen college/university in the coming academic year.
The Christine Barmmer Scholarship in the amount of $1,100 was awarded to Tessa Coffin, who will be attending Connecticut College majoring in Art History with the goal of becoming a museum curator.
The Shelton Art League Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 was awarded to Katherine Hynes, who will be attending Colorado State University majoring is 3D Design.
Further, the Shelton Art League donated $250 to the Friends of the Derby Public Library and $250 to the Shelton Library System for their support of the arts and art programs.
