SHELTON, CT — RT 110 was forced to shut down due to a single vehicle accident on Friday, fire officials said.
The vehicle struck a telephone pole, causing the primary wires to dislodge from the pole as it snapped in half, officials said. The occupant was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
Police and fire crews remained until power was de-energized. The Echo Hose Hook and Ladder Co. 1 and White Hills Fire Company 5 responded.
