Case Of Teen Charged In Fatal Stabbing Continued To November: Report

The case of a Milford teen accused of fatally stabbing Shelton teen Jimmy McGrath, 17, was continued to November during a court appearance.

SHELTON, CT — The case of Raul Eliah Valle, a Milford teen accused of fatally stabbing 17-year-old Fairfield College Preparatory School student Jimmy McGrath during a Shelton house party in May, has been continued to November as attorneys review a substantial amount of evidence related to the case, the Connecticut Post reports.

According to the Connecticut Post, Valle appeared in state Superior Court in Milford on Monday, during which his lawyer said the defense wanted to review all of the evidence before deciding whether to request a probable cause hearing.

Valle, who was 16 at the time of his arrest, has been charged with murder and three counts of first-degree assault, according to police. He was released from custody May 23 after his father posted his bond and is currently under home confinement and monitored via GPS.

McGrath's parents, Kevin and Margaret, and a large crowd of supporters, many of whom were teens, filled up an entire side of the courtroom during Valle's July court appearance.

Members of McGrath's family were also present during Monday's court appearance, as were Valle's parents, according to the Connecticut Post.
