Child Struck By Personal Watercraft At State Park In Shelton: FD
Fire officials said the injured child was taken to a local trauma facility.
SHELTON, CT — A child was struck by a personal watercraft late Sunday afternoon at Indian Wells State Park in Shelton, according to the Shelton Fire Department.
In an email to Patch, Deputy Chief Paul Wilson said Shelton and Derby fire crews were called to the state park around 4:30 p.m. after receiving a report of a water vessel accident.
According to Wilson, crews located a young boy who was struck by a personal watercraft.

Echo Hose Ambulance officers assessed and took the child to a local trauma facility with non-life threatening injuries, Wilson said.
One person who was riding the personal watercraft was also taken to a medical facility with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Wilson.
