Conklins, Supporting Parents to Seek Eddy's Diploma from Shelton Board of Ed
Eddy Conklin's parents want their late son to receive his diploma at next month's graduation, not at a separate awards ceremony.

SHELTON, CT - The parents of the late Shelton High School senior Eddy Conklin are expected to appear before the Board of Education tonight, May 25, to again ask that their son's diploma be awarded at next month's graduation.
The board decided to present Eddy's parents with a diploma at a separate awards ceremony, but not at graduation. But the Conklins want Eddy's name read at graduation, and are expected to bring supporting parents with them Wednesday to again make the request, reports Fox61 News.
Eddy Conklin was killed in a car crash in February of this year. He was an English class short of graduation.
