Most towns and cities lost population, but some in southwestern Connecticut gained ground.

Connecticut population shrunk by more than 14,000 over the past year, according to the most recent United States Census figures released this week.
Connecticut population is 3,576,452; last year at the same time it was 3,590,452.
Most Connecticut cities and towns lost population from 2015 to 2016 though some in southwestern Connecticut gained.
