Connecticut Mayor Cusses Out Constituent On Facebook: Reports
After a woman criticized him on traffic issues, Ansonia Mayor David Cassetti told the woman she had "s--- for brains."
ANSONIA, CT — A Connecticut mayor is unapologetic after he used profanity to respond to a constituent's Facebook comment about traffic issues in the city, according to reports.
The incident in question happened this week after a woman complained in an Ansonia community Facebook group about traffic on Main Street, the Connecticut Post reported, an area that saw significant traffic delays Wednesday after a fatal head-on crash shut down Route 8 in Seymour.
"As usual the mayor promises but never follows through," the woman wrote.

Mayor David Cassetti responded to the woman from his personal Facebook account, saying, "you got s--- for brains."
“I have nothing to do with this,” he said in his now-deleted comment. "It was a fatal accident on route eight [sic] what do you want me to do numb nuts."

In a statement emailed to Hearst Connecticut Media, Cassetti said he didn't believe he was out of line.
"I am a man who speaks his mind," Cassetti said in a statement. "I was very upset that a person on Facebook was using a personal tragedy as an excuse to launch a political attack against my administration over a traffic issue."
