Coronavirus Derby: Public Parks Being Closed
The mayor has closed most public parks to help limit the spread of the virus.

DERBY, CT — Mayor Richard Dziekan has ordered most parks in the city to be closed to help limit the spread of the new coronavirus. Seymour, Ansonia and Oxford have taken similar measures.
A resident tested positive for coronavirus Monday.
The parks being closed are:

-Payden Park/Ryan Complex/DeFilippo Field (baseball, football/soccer field and track),
-Bradley School court and playground,

-Witek Park Soccer Field,
-The Picnic Grove and basketball courts
Derby Greenway will remain open, but Dziekan strongly encourages people to practice social distancing if they use it.
