Coronavirus Shelton: 5 Cases Confirmed

The City of Shelton has five confirmed coronavirus cases, according to the Naugatuck Valley Health District.

SHELTON, CT — The City of Shelton has five confirmed coronavirus cases, according to the Naugatuck Valley Health District.

Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck and Seymour all have at least one confirmed case as well.

"Community spread/transmission is now occurring in the Valley. People have been infected with the virus, including some who are not sure how or where they became infected. Please practice social distancing and stay home as much as possible," NVHD said in a release.

There are 415 confirmed coronavirus cases in Connecticut with 54 hospitalizations and 10 deaths as of Monday. Those numbers are expected to be updated at a 4 p.m. press conference Tuesday.
