Coronavirus Shelton: Deaths Climb To 27

Shelton now has 27 coronavirus-related deaths and nearly 150 lab confirmed cases.

SHELTON, CT — Another 10 coronavirus-related deaths were reported in Shelton Tuesday bringing the total to 27 for the city.

"Today’s reported deaths were among Shelton residents who resided in a nursing homes or assisted living facilities," said Jessica Stelmaszek, director of health for the Naugatuck Valley Health District.

Of the total death 26 were residents of nursing home or assisted living facilities.

One Valley death was a resident between 60 and 69-years-old, six were for residents between 70 and 79-years-old and the rest were among residents 80 and older.
