Coronavirus Shelton: PD Taking Minor Reports Over Phone
Shelton Police will take minor incident reports over the phone until further notice.
SHELTON, CT — The City of Shelton has taken several steps amid concern over the new coronavirus.
City officials are in frequent communication with the state, said Mayor Mark Lauretti. City leadership form various department met for a planning session as part of a preparedness effort.

- City Hall will remain open, but follow social distancing practices and enhanced cleaning.
- Community center and senior center programs have been cancelled. Senior center members can reserve lunches for curbside pickup between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. by calling the center.
- City parks and trails remain open.
- Trash pickup will continue as normal.
- The Police Department will take reports over the phone for minor issues or incidents. Emergency response will continue and first responders will follow enhanced procedures to risk the chance of infection.
