Decision Made On Classes At Shelton, Derby Public Schools For March 3

A winter weather advisory has now been extended to most of Connecticut as snow and ice are forecast.

SHELTON-DERBY, CT — A decision has been made on classes at Shelton and Derby public schools for Tuesday as a mix of snow, ice and rain are all in the forecast for Connecticut.

According to the district's website, Shelton Public Schools will be holding an extended early dismissal day (one-hour earlier than normal dismissal times) on March 3:

  • No Pre-K classes
  • SHS - 11:15 a.m.
  • SIS/PHS - 12 p.m.
  • Elementary - 12:50 p.m.

Derby Public Schools will be closed Tuesday "due to the prediction for snow and ice," according to the district's website.
