Derby Appoints Permanent Finance Director

DERBY, CT — Mayor Joseph DiMartino announced Friday that Brian Hall will serve as the city's permanent finance director beginning Monday.

In an email, DiMartino said Hall was unanimously approved to take up the position Thursday night.

"Brian is a great asset to the city of Derby," DiMartino said. "As a true finance professional, he is driving us back to transparent fiscal stability."

DiMartino also asked Derby residents to join him in extending the city's best wishes to Hall on his new official status.

"Welcome to the family, Brian," DiMartino said. "We are glad you are with us."
