Derby Bulk Pick Up Information Released By City
Derby offers bulk pick up to residents at no additional cost, and each household is entitled to one pick up every six months.

DERBY, CT — Derby officials recently released information regarding the city's bulk pick up program.
According to the city's website, any Derby resident or property owner, except real estate companies and landlords, who are in the process of selling or renting to new occupants is eligible for curbside bulk pick-up by appointment only and limited to one pick-up every six months.

All Items must be separated and stacked neatly for pick-up.
Acceptable Items

- Oversized municipal solid waste.
- Furniture and items too large for regular weekly pick-up.
- Scrap metal and metal furniture.
- Non-freon appliances.
Unacceptable Items
- Automotive parts and tires.
- Propane tanks.
- Demolition and construction materials.
- Appliances with freon.
- Oils and hazardous fluids.
Residents can email derbybulkpickups@win-waste.com to schedule an appointment. Please include: name, address, telephone, brief description of items to be picked up.
Residents will then be emailed a pick-up date that will be on a Friday. They must then place their items curbside to be picked up on their appointment date.
Residents who do not have an email are asked to call 203-736-1464.
