Derby Firefighters Battle Building Blaze
The early morning fire occurred Sunday at a structure at Main and Caroline streets.

DERBY, CT — Derby firefighters battled an early morning building fire Sunday at Main and Caroline streets, according to a department Facebook post.
The fire was reported a little after 5 a.m., and flames were visible "from window of the building" upon their arrival.
State and city fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze. Ansonia, Shelton, Seymour and Orange firefighters were also called in for mutual aid and fire coverage for the town.
