Derby Historical Society To Host Tavern Night Event

The Derby Historical Society will host a "Tavern Night" event in September that will include prizes, live music and an open bar.

DERBY, CT — The Derby Historical Society will host a "Tavern Night" event Sept. 8 featuring music, prizes and an open bar.

The event will be held at the David Humphreys House, located at 37 Elm Street in Ansonia, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., according to a flyer provided by the historical society.

Tickets are $40 per person, which includes a two-hour open bar with beer, wine and soda. A cash bar will also be available from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event will also feature light appetizers and live music by Gerri Koscelek. A prize will also be awarded to the person who shows up in the best period dress.
