Derby Man Accused Of Robbing, Assaulting Victim: Naugatuck PD

The accused was released on a $75,000 bond, police said.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A Derby resident is accused of assaulting and robbing a person in Naugatuck, police said.

On May 1, Jose Manuel Melendez, 41, of Olivia Street, was arrested on an active arrest warrant, police said. The warrant was from a domestic incident where the accused assaulted and robbed the victim on or about May 1, police said.

The accused was processed and later released on a $75,000 bond and is charged with third-degree robbery, second-degree larceny, third-degree assault, and disorderly conduct.
