Derby Man Arrested on Gun Charges in Shelton
The arrest stems from a handgun theft reported in 2014.
Shelton Police arrested a Derby man on an active arrest warrant Monday.
Jonathan Rodriguez, 22 was charged with theft of a firearm. The arrest stems from a complaint of a stolen handgun from a locked vehicle in the spring of 2014 on Canal Street in Shelton.
Police said investigation revealed the gun was sold to a local gun store which was traced back to Rodriguez.

Rodriguez posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 3.
